Arrange a VisitWelcome
Beaumont Leys Masjid welcomes schools and educational groups interested in learning about Islam, Muslim beliefs and practices, and the role of the mosque in the lives of Muslims.
A mosque is more than a place of prayer. It is also a place of learning, community engagement, and service. Through our school visits, we aim to help pupils develop a better understanding of Islam, explore the diversity of religious and cultural life in Britain, and appreciate the importance of mutual respect and understanding.
Our visits provide an opportunity to discover Islam in an authentic setting, meet members of the local Muslim community, and ask questions in a friendly and welcoming environment.
Learning
Our visits introduce pupils to key aspects of Islam and Muslim life, helping them connect their classroom learning with a real-life experience.
Discover the fundamental beliefs of Islam, learn about the Qur'an, and explore the values that guide Muslims in their daily lives, including faith, compassion, honesty, and kindness.
Learn about the purpose of a mosque, its main features, and how Muslims use this space for prayer, learning, and community activities.
Find out how and why Muslims pray, learn about the significance of daily prayers, and discover the importance of prayer in Muslim life.
Learn about the Qur'an, its importance to Muslims, and the role of recitation and religious education in the Muslim tradition.
Explore what it means to be Muslim in Britain today and learn about the different ways Muslims contribute to their local communities.
Pupils are encouraged to ask questions and share their thoughts in a respectful and open environment. We welcome genuine curiosity and aim to address questions clearly and appropriately for the pupils' age and educational level.
